2003 Swanson Merlot Estate

The 2003 Merlot displays a dark plum/ruby color, a peppery, earthy bouquet, medium body, but not a lot of character or complexity. It was made from an interesting blend of 75% Merlot, 17% Syrah and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. Fully mature with a quick finish, it should be drunk up. Note: Both of these wines were tasted from magnum.
