2014 Failla Pinot Noir Singler Vineyard

The 2014 Pinot Noir Singler is an addition to the growing Failla range. This is an especially dark, brooding Pinot Noir with serious depth and intensity. Black cherry, blackberry, smoke, tobacco, licorice and cloves are super-expressive in the glass. There is almost Syrah-like meatiness that takes the wine and moves into a realm of intensity and gravitas that is highly unusual in Russian River Pinot. It will be interesting to see what Ehren Jordan is able to do with fruit from this steep site in the coming years.
