The 2015 Pinot Noir Wentzel Vineyard is very pretty, offering up notes of sweet red cherries, red berries and earthy forest floor. On the palate, it's supple, velvety and pure with juicy acids, fine-grained tannins and a youthfully chewy, stony finish. From a cool, maritime-influenced vineyard that sits 500 feet above the Anderson Valley, planted on a steep west-facing hillside.

The 2015 Pinot Noir Wentzel Vineyard is rock solid, with a deep, rich, red and black fruit driven profile that carries plenty of peppery herbs, underbrush and spicy characteristics. There’s a hint of underlying floral character, it has impressive density, a seamless texture and good acidity, all suggesting it’s going to evolve gracefully.
From a site in Anderson Valley, 2015 Pinot Noir Wentzel Vineyard is naturally racier and riper than the wines from Medocino County. The 2015 offers good immediacy in its red berry fruit, blood orange and exotic spice notes. Hints of rose petal, mint and lavender develop with time in the glass, adding attractive layers of nuance. There is good pliancy and fleshiness to the 2015, especially at the outset, although some of the persistence drops off through the mid-palate and into the finish.
