Note di degustazione
There are a little over two thousand cases of the 2014 Pinot Noir S?l?s Vineyard, which was mostly destemmed (75%) and brought up in 30% new barrels. As with all these releases, it has a light ruby hue as well as a great perfume of sweet cherries, rose petals, bay leaf, and sassafras. Complex and nuanced aromatically, it's medium-bodied and has a bright (almost tart) spine of acidity along with a good finish. Another singular wine from this estate, it seems older than it is, but in a good way. All these new releases from Joseph Swan show the more evolved, complex, lightly colored style favored by the estate. The wines seem ten years older than they are, but they have terrific complexity and elegant, silky profiles. They’re certainly singular.

Pale to medium ruby colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Solas Vineyard offers ripe Bing cherry, cranberry and fallen leaves notes with suggestions of Provence herbs and dried roses. Light to medium-bodied with a racy backbone of freshness, it has a subtle core of red berry and herbal flavors with chewy tannins and an earthy finish.
