2015 Tom Eddy - Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard

Tom Eddy has been bottling wines under his own label since 1991, yet seems to always fly a bit under the radar. This 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Single Vineyard—100% Cabernet Sauvignon matured for 34 months in 100% new French oak—is inky in hue and relatively unevolved nearly 10 years after the vintage (tasted August 2025). Scents of crushed stone and dried sage join notes of black cherries and black raspberries on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is supple and expansive but reined in by fine-grained tannins that linger on the long finish. This was one of the most complete 2015s submitted via the Napa Valley Vintners. It is still showing room to improve with further aging. Bonus: It's listed as still available on the winery website.
