Note di degustazione
The 2021 Zinfandel Dina's Vineyard comes from vines planted over 100 years ago, and the wine was matured for nine months in 44% new French oak. It has slowly unfurling scents of apricot and wild berry jam with accents of aniseed, sage and iron. The medium-bodied palate features powerful, expressive flavors structured by grainy tannins and vivacious acidity, and it has a long, perfumed finish. 225 cases were made.

From a vineyard that is over 120 years old. Aged in 100% French oak (44% new) for 9 months. Medium purple. Incredibly floral and grapey without as much spice as I'd usually expect from a Zin, a coolness despite the 15.3% alcohol. Raspberry coulis, black cherry and fennel-seed sweetness. Incredible concentration and well-balanced high acidity that lengthens the finish. Fine-linen tannin. There is a lightness to this that the Zin blend doesn't have. Gorgeous. (SCJ)
Similar in appearance to the Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard, the 2021 Zinfandel Dina's Vineyard boasts a woodsy tone, with aromas of wild medicinal herbs, pine sap, and black raspberry. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, this is another favorite for me in this range of Zin. Offering fresh mineral earth as well as notes of crunchy berries and ripe black cherries, it’s dry and inviting, with fresh acidity, good tannin structure, and a more vertical mouthfeel. Allow it another year and drink 2025-2037.
