2008 Bevan Danger D Showket Vineyard

The 2008 Danger D Proprietary Red Showket Vineyard is a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Deep garnet in color with a touch of brick, it emerges confidently from the glass with showy scents of prunes, baked raspberries, Morello cherries and dried mulberries plus hints of dusty earth, truffles, dried mint and iron ore. The full-bodied palate is rich and seductive with beautifully integrated, plush tannins and seamless freshness supporting the earthy layers, finishing long and harmonious. Drinking superbly right now, it should cellar for a further 6-8 years+.
