2002 Dominique Laurent Latricieres-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru

Red-ruby. Complex, soil-inflected aromas of raspberry, Cuban tobacco and smoke. Racy, musky red fruits nicely framed by ripe acids. Very sexy wine, but perhaps a bit less natural than some of these 2002s, as enzymes were used to extract tannins. Still, this finishes chocolatey and quite long.
