The 2016 Red Blend Elevage is gorgeous. Racy and sumptuous in the glass, with terrific mid-palate intensity, the 2016 has a lot to offer. Dark cherry, chocolate, menthol, new leather and spice flesh out in a supple, open-knit wine that will drink well with minimal cellaring.

The 2016 Elevage is blended of 54% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple colored, it opens out to present fragrant violets, underbrush and menthol notes over a core of warm blackcurrants, Black Forest cake and redcurrant jelly. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is elegantly styled with a great intensity of red and black fruits, approachable grainy tannins and a mineral-tinged finish.
