2016 Chimney Rock Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 4

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 4 is incredibly distinctive. Poor soils yield small berries and a wine that is incredibly mineral and tightly wound. Graphite, smoke, sage, menthol and lavender accents take shape in the glass, but it is the wine's piercing tannins and overall structure that stand out most. Readers will have to be patient with the 2016, but it is a jewel of a wine.
