2010 Silverado Cabernet Sauvignon Estate

(blended with 16% merlot, 2% petit verdot and 1% cabernet franc): Bright ruby-red. Black cherry, chocolatey oak and roasted herbs on the nose. Smooth and moderately sweet but less fat and chocolatey than the merlot; a bit cooler and more medicinal. Finishes with good spiciness but the dusty tannins are more exposed than those of the merlot.
