Ruby-red. Complex aromas of nutty oak, coffee and rose petal, with a whiff of gamey reduction. Supple, sturdy and sweet, with ripe blackberry, cassis and game flavors and strong oakiness. This moderately dense wine became increasingly tannic as it opened in the glass.
