I always love the white from this family estate, and their 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc showed nicely, with a pure, rich, textured style as well as classic notes of ripe stone fruits, honeyed apple, and subtle brioche and spice nuances. It's medium-bodied, has good concentration, and a pure, layered mouthfeel that makes it hard to resist. A blend of 40% Grenache Blanc, 40% Roussanne, and 20% Clairette that was brought up in 35% new barrels, drink bottles over the coming 4-5 years.

The 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc was being bottled on the day I visited last summer, so my note is based on a sample pulled from the bottling tank. Aged in 40% new French oak, it's toasty and leesy, a plush, opulent style that faithfully reflects the vintage. It's full-bodied and loaded with pineapple fruit, which may be a bit much for some tasters, but it finishes soft, pure and harmonious, a lovely effort.
The 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc blends 40% Grenache Blanc with 40% Roussanne and 20% Clairette. Fragrant peach, ripe pear, spring blossom and lime flesh are all pushed forward. Discrete cedar tones can be traced back to partial aging in new oak. Focused and harmonious, the 2022 is an excellent Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc that provides boatloads of joy right out of the gate. Production totals only 3,200 bottles.
