Punteggio 88/100 · Da bere 2024-2028, Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2023

The 2019 Honey Bunny blends lavender and violet florals with sugar-dusted blackberry to form its darkly alluring bouquet. It's rounds and supple, yet lacks depth, with crisp black fruits and cocoa-tinged spice. This finishes with decent length and is lightly structured. The 2019 ends with a chewy sensation and a touch of heat.

Punteggio 96/100 · Da bere 2022-2040, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Mar 2022

The 2019 Honey Bunny is a gorgeous blend of 86% Syrah and 14% Mourvèdre that boasts perfect ripeness and an exceptional intensity of flavor. Medium ruby-purple, it offers fragrant cassis, chargrill, cracked pepper, dark chocolate and mint leaves with floral top notes. The full-bodied palate's intense, dark fruits are seamlessly supported by grainy tannins, and it finishes polished and classy with a touch of new oak spice. It deserves another 3-5 years in bottle.

Lastly, the 2019 Honey Bunny checks in as 86% Syrah and 14% Mourvèdre that was brought up in 75% new French oak. Beautiful blue and black fruits, ground pepper, chalky minerality, and bacon fat notes all emerge from the glass, and it's beautifully textured, with ripe, polished tannins and a great finish. It's a powerful, full-bodied, seriously endowed Syrah that still has rock-solid acidity and freshness. It's going to keep for 10-12 years. Another estate that is unquestionably on the upswing, Fulldraw was created in 2012 when Connor McMahon purchased a 100-acre vineyard situated in the Templeton Gap region of Paso Robles. Connor learned the ropes working for Eric Jensen at Booker Vineyard, and he makes a rich, concentrated, classic Paso Robles red with the focus on Rhône varieties. Readers looking for the next top estate in Paso Robles should check out these wines.
