(raised in all Francois Freres barrels, 60% of them new): Bright ruby-red. Captivating aromas of cherry-vanilla, licorice, mocha and smoky Indian spices. Sweet, concentrated and chewy, with powerful but lithe dark fruit flavors and a sexy note of allspice. Displays a very suave aromatic character and finishes with silky, fully integrated tannins and impressive length.

Sweet tobacco, herbs and dried cherries are some of the nuances that emerge from this forward, early maturing Pinot. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014. The Chardonnays and Pinots are the highlights among these new releases from Bonaccorsi Wine Company. I was less enamored with the 2007 Syrahs I tasted. Vivid red. Wild strawberry, raspberry and minerals on the nose, with a sexy sandalwood spiciness and a touch of star anise. In a distinctly silky style, with sexy red fruit and spice qualities repeating in the mouth. Penetrating and fine-grained wine, finishing with a zesty hint of blood orange and excellent persistence.
