Note di degustazione
Full, very heavy bottle 1,650 g. Aged in a mix of new and used oak barrels. 110 cases made. Smells of lemon, vanilla and grapefruit. Flavours of lemon and grapefruit mix with a touch of lime, passion fruit and the salty sweetness of oak. Nice salinity lingers in the finish. Very good acidity. (AY)

Showing a distinctive touch of fumé-like character, Waypoint's 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Grieve Vineyard adds those hints of struck flint and crushed stone to a base of fig and melon. It's medium to full-bodied, ripe and round, with plenty of pineapple and citrus on the palate that extends through the long finish.
The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Waypoint Grieve Vineyard is all varietal aged a year in a mix of neutral and new French oak and stainless barrels. Rocking levels of bright citrus, honeyed grapefruit, flowers, and spice all define the aromatics and it's pure, medium-bodied, has a concentrated mouthfeel, and a great finish. It's beautifully done, and I'd happily drink a bottle over the coming year or two.
