Note di degustazione
The most impressive effort here is the 2001 Proprietary Red Reserve, an inky/ruby/purple-tinged blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Petit Verdot, and 11% Merlot. Exhibiting impressive potential, this firm, muscular, medium to full-bodied, broodingly backward 2001 will require time in the bottle. The high percentage of Petit Verdot also suggests the tannins may become more of an issue than they appear to be at present. Dense and rich, with notes of black fruits, smoke, earth, and new oak, it boasts an enticing texture, impressive richness, and a long finish. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2015. Tel. (707) 942-0930

(a blend of 45% cabernet sauvignon, 44% petit verdot and 11% merlot) Saturated medium ruby. Dark aromas of cassis, blueberry, exotic baking spices, bitter chocolate and menthol. Lush, sweet, creamy and strong in extract; complex flavors of currant, licorice, Cuban tobacco, chocolate and fresh herbs, with a suggestion of medicinal austerity. The biggest of these 2001 reds, finishing with substantial but sweet tannins and excellent length.
