From the X and Z blocks in Bien Nacido Vineyard and vinified using about one-third whole cluster, the 2019 Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyard has a medium ruby-purple color and slowly opening scents of cassis, violet, mint chocolate, flint and aniseed. The medium-bodied palate is elegant, chalky and refreshing, with generous floral and spice perfume on the long, layered finish.
