Bright saturated ruby. A brooding black hole of a nose: blackberry, crushed cassis, bitter chocolate. Then juicy, supple and sweet, with a surprisingly pliant texture to the dark berry and bitter chocolate flavors. This shows an almost confectionery fruit intensity and finishes with broad, dusty tannins and very good length.
