Note di degustazione
A typical Napa red with lots of currants and blackberries, as well as walnuts. Punchy and rich. Full-bodied and layered with lots of fruit at the end. Drink or hold.

The deep black/blue-hued 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Estate is another terrific wine in the lineup. Textbook blackcurrants, black cherries, melted licorice, scorched earth, and chocolate notes all define the bouquet, and this beauty is full-bodied, has a lively, elegant texture, good acidity, and enough structure to keep it drinking well for 15-20 years.
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Estate is rich, pliant and extroverted with notes of black cherry, chocolate, new leather, licorice and clove spice. The 2017 is racy, opulent and very nicely balanced within this style. I would prefer to drink it over the next decade or so.
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Estate Vineyard has already been bottled. Deep garnet-purple in color, it is a touch shy to begin, opening with subtle notes of warm cassis, blackberry preserves and mulberries plus hints of underbrush, wild sage, unsmoked cigars, cedar chest and dusty earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a sturdy structure of chewy tannins and just enough freshness, giving bags of earth-laced black fruit flavors, finishing on a stewed tea note.
