Open and creamy on the nose with sweet spices and cherry syrup aroma. Excellent richness of fruit on the palate – sweet and ripe, but not at all unwieldy, with enough acid to keep it fresh. Gets the Californian sunshine just right. (RH)

The dark ruby 2013 Pinot Noir Martaella Vineyard offers notes of sassafras and berry fruit, earth, spice and a very Burgundian personality. It is medium-bodied, pure and crisp. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.
