All destemmed and brought up in 50% new barrels, the 2021 Syrah Las Madres Vineyard Hulda Block has a more meaty, gamey style as well as some olive, smoky black fruits, and pepper. This dark, dense, medium to full-bodied Syrah is for those out there who love the wild side to Syrah. It's going to benefit from a year or two in the cellar and should evolve through 2031.

Very spicy nose, full of dried thyme, oregano and peppercorn, together with morello cherries and violets. Dark and very Mediterranean-like on the nose. Full-bodied with dense tannins and a hint of herbal bitterness to the black cherries on the palate. Rich, flavorful and nicely chewy. Drink from 2024.
