2008 Evening Land Pinot Noir Occidental Vineyard

Deep ruby. Sexy aromas of black raspberry and cherry-cola, with floral and Indian spice qualities gaining strength with air. Juicy and a bit tight on entry, then gains flesh and sweetness in the mid-palate and offers cherry compote and blackberry flavors. A sneaky vein of minerality lends lift and precision to the long, spicy finish. This benefits a lot from aeration: I'd keep my hands of this one for at least a couple more years.
