2000 Carter Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Vineyards

The first vintage from To Kalon, only 285 cases of the 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Oakville were produced. Tobacco, black olive tapenade, currants, and spicy herbs all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, with fine tannins, bright yet integrated acidity, and outstanding length. It's clearly fully mature and not going to get better, but it offers lots of pleasure. Drink up if you have them.
