2017 Elena Fucci Aglianico del Vulture Titolo 20th Anniversary

This is a special 20th anniversary bottling from Elena Fucci, and I'm not sure what makes the wine different from the normal 2017 Aglianico del Vulture she also created in this vintage. In terms of winemaking notes, the 2017 Aglianico del Vulture Titolo 20th Anniversary feels more open and soft initially, with black fruit tones that are evenly coated by tar, smoke and volcanic-like intensity, with some cola and blackberry as well. Although it is very dry, the mouthfeel also feels a bit more linear and streamlined compared to the other wine, largely because of that very pronounced mineral definition.
