2005 Loring Pinot Noir Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard

Good medium red. Very reduced nose offers aromas of cassis, kirsch, smoke and tobacco. Big and rich on the palate, with a penetrating sweetness to the dark cherry and blackberry flavors, thanks to ripe, firm acidity.Plenty of volume and structure here, but this pinot needs time. Finishes chewy and long, with sweet fruit. Richer than its 13.2% alcohol would suggest.
