2005 Scherrer Syrah Bliss Vineyard

Ruby-red. Suave red berry and cassis aromas are complicated by cracked pepper, fresh flowers, smoky minerals and bacon fat. Silky raspberry and blackcurrant flavors are impressively concentrated but in no way heavy or overripe. Brisk mineral and floral pastille qualities stand out on the long, sappy finish. Nicely understated syrah, displaying more freshness and precision than power.
