Lastly, the 2015 Pinot Noir Labyrinth Vineyard comes from a 2-acre site in the Russian River Valley that was planted all to the Pommard clone in 1999. Aged in 75% new French oak, it’s another awesome wine from this estate, boasting a big, rich, opulent style as well as loads of black raspberry fruits, spice, dried earth, incense, and underbrush. One of the more upfront, hedonistic and sexy wines from Kenneth Juhasz, drink it over the coming 7-8 years. This was a brilliant lineup of wines from the husband and wife team of Kenneth and Laura Juhasz, self-proclaimed Burgundy lovers who look for cooler, hillside, rocky sites to work with. Their wines all come from purchased fruit. Classic, old-school, balanced Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays are the name of the game here.

Medium ruby-purple colored, the vibrantly scented 2015 Pinot Noir Labyrinth Vineyard features electric notes of red currants and cranberries with suggestions of raspberry leaves, wild thyme and violets. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with perfumed red fruit flavors, framed by soft, velvety tannins and great freshness, finishing long with an herbal lift.
