2005 Jeff Cohn Cellars Syrah Caldwell Vineyard

The most serious wines in Cohn’s portfolio are the single vineyard offerings, with the exception of the tannic, cool climate 2005 Syrah Caldwell Vineyard. It exhibits a dark ruby/purple color along with notes of animal fur, roasted meats, herbs, chocolate, and cassis. Tightly-knit with jagged tannin in the finish, it is very good.
