2011 Robert Keenan Merlot Mailbox Vineyard Reserve

The limited production 2011 Merlot Reserve Mailbox Vineyard exhibits more coffee and sweet cherry fruit notes as well as more fat and flesh, but again, the vintage has produced a lighter weight, moderately endowed, charming, fruit-forward wine that is pure seduction. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. Micheal Keenan has done an incredible job at this Spring Mountain winery over the last 10-15 years, producing one of the finest Cabernet Francs in all of northern California as well as hitting all cylinders with his other Bordeaux varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as well as his sumptuous blend called Mernet.
