The 2020 Cabernet Franc Tinaquaic Vineyard is a classic Santa Barbara wine with tons of fruit presence. Dried flowers, red-toned fruit, pomegranate, rose petal, herbs and licorice infuse the 2020 with tons of character. There's plenty of personality here.

The 2020 Cabernet Franc Tinaquaic Vineyard Heritage Collection showed incredibly well, with a Bordeaux-like style in its cedar pencil, tobacco, spring flowers, and darker berry fruits. All varietal aged 22 months in new barrels, it’s medium to full-bodied, has incredible purity and balance, fine tannins, and a great finish. There are only 50 cases made, but it should have two decades of longevity. I still find the 2020s to be slightly hit-or-miss from this reference point producer in the Central Coast, but the good news is that the 2021s appear to be a step up as well as more consistent.
