The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tomahawk Vineyard is another absolutely delicious wine from Chimney Rock. Dense and powerful, but never heavy, the 2016 has so much going on. Inky blue/purplish fruit, spice, new leather, tobacco, cedar and exotic floral notes all run through this dense, potent Stags Leap Cabernet. This is the first vintage in which a portion of the lots were fermented in barrel.

One-hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tomahawk reveals decadent scents of blueberry compote, crème de cassis, Black Forest cake and Chinese five spice with touches of bay leaves and menthol. Full-bodied, bold and spicy in the mouth, it has a lovely velvety texture and a spicy lift to the finish.
