2018 I Pentri - Falanghina Flora

From the first tilt of the glass, the 2018 Falanghina Flora is aromatically stunning, with a seductive display of crushed peaches mixed with ripe mango and pear juice, as sweet, exotic florals come forward, along with a lemon-lime zest. The wine floods the palate with tremendous depth, as silky textures are balanced by brisk acids, displaying ripe stone fruits, hints of kiwi, and saturating minerality. The finish is long, resonating on ripe pear and apple, while buzzing with lingering acids and spice. It’s a big wine, yet wonderfully balanced, and ready to deliver a lot of pleasure now or with five or more years in the cellar.
