2007 Jelly Roll Syrah

An equal part blend of two great Central Coast vineyards, Larner and Stolpman, the 2007 Syrah reveals a dense plum/purple color, a big, rich bouquet of black fruits (plums and cherries), black olives, pepper, and bouquet garni, luscious fruit, velvety tannins, and a medium to full-bodied, plush finish. Enjoy it over the next 4-5 years. The goal of this small artisanal project of winemaker Sashi Moorman and proprietor Jim Knight is to produce consumer-friendly, but seriously made Syrahs meant to be consumed during their first 5-6 years of life.
