Note di degustazione
The 2018 Cuvée Lizzy is a lovely wine. It's a blend of 43% Malbec, 30% Petit Verdot, 17% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 16 months in 80% new French oak. It has pretty aromas of bright red and black cherries, dried herbs, tobacco leaves and Italian plum with hints of cedar and pencil shavings. The palate is medium to full-bodied with fresh fruit character and loads of mineral accents, firmly framed, fresh and finishing uplifted. It's an unusually fresh, crunchy and successful expression from this cooler vintage.

The Malbec-dominated cuvée from the estate, the 2018 Cuvée Lizzy includes 30% Petit Verdot, 17% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, all raised in 80% new French oak. A pretty bouquet of blackberries, plums, sappy herbs, violets, and chocolate gives way to a medium to full-bodied, elegant, seamless wine that shines for its purity as well as balance. It’s going to evolve for a decade or more.
