The flagship from this estate, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Hertelendy Legend is based on 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, and the rest Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, aged 23 months in French and Hungarian oak. Sporting a deep purple hue as well a darker currant and black cherry fruit profile, it has lots of classic tobacco and leafy herb notes, some spicy oak, full-bodied richness, terrific overall balance, and a great, great finish. This beautiful, elegant, layered wine can be drunk with incredible pleasure today or cellared for 15-20 years. 90 cases.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Hertelendy Legend is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Merlot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it comes galloping out of the glass with bold notes of blackcurrant jelly, blackberry preserves and stewed plums, plus hints of licorice, chocolate box and charcuterie. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has beautiful poise with fine-grained tannins and fantastic freshness to support the taut, muscular black berry flavors, finishing long.
