Vice Versa's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Old Vines comes predominantly from Stags Leap District vines planted in 1980. Scents of ripe raspberries and cherries are joined by hints of sage and dark chocolate on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is velvety-textured yet impressively crunchy and fresh, finishing long and vibrant.

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Old Vines checks in as 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that was brought up in 75% new French oak. Classic Stags Leap notes of red and black fruit, sappy flowers, darker tobacco, and scorched earth notes all define the aromatics, and it's full-bodied on the palate, with remarkable purity, a juicy, lively sense of acidity, sweet tannins, and a great finish. It's a brilliant 2022 that already offers pleasure yet should have at least 15 years of longevity and prime drinking, if not more.
