Note di degustazione
The 2022 Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard Dijon 115 Clone comes from vines planted in 2004. Various percentages of whole clusters were used during fermentation, and the wine was matured in around 10% new French oak. It has a delicate expression, and the nose offers singular tones of juniper and dried herbs before revealing scents of wild berries and spice. The light-bodied palate is chalky and refreshing with an understated core of fruit and a long, spicy finish. 479 cases produced.

Bright ruby-colored, the 2022 Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard Dijon 115 Clone comes from vines planted in 1982 and offers notes of sweet sage, black raspberries, fresh mossy earth, and a sweet cedar spice. The palate is electric in its energy and fills the palate and expands it, with very fine tannins and notes of cranberry. It’s a lovely wine that I find very appealing now, and it’s going to age with ease over the next 12 or so years.
The 2022 Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard Dijon 115 Clone is lifted and airy in character, with a cascade of dusty dried florals giving way to wild strawberries and hints of clove. This is a model of purity, with tantalizing acidity that enlivens its rose-tinged wild berry fruits. The 2022 leaves a staining of saline minerals and notes of savory spice, finishing structured and classically dry.
