2002 Trevor Jones Shiraz Wild Witch Reserve

Dense violet. Powerful, focused aromas of boysenberry, candied plum, creme de cassis, toasty oak, star anise and succulent herbs. Deep, weighty and rich, with sweet, mouthfilling dark fruit flavors held in check by supple tannins and enlivened by a bright, pleasantly bitter note of rhubarb. Expansive and spicy on the back, with the blackberry and blackcurrant flavors gaining in sweetness but not weight. Lovely stuff.
