Coming from a great site in the Russian River Valley, the 2019 Chardonnay UV - Silver Eagle Vineyard was barrel fermented and spent 14 months in 25%-40% new French oak, It has a clean, juicy nose of candied lemons, chalky minerality, caramelized pineapple, and white flowers. This carries to a rich, full-bodied Chardonnay with beautiful richness, some subtle toasty, creamy nuances, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. The purity of fruit, balance, and length are all first-class and this is another gorgeous Chardonnay from this team.

The 2019 Chardonnay UV - Silver Eagle Vineyard is a dense, powerful wine. It stands out in this range for a feeling of phenolic intensity, minerality and palate weight. The Silver Eagle is far from an easygoing wine, rather it is a Chardonnay that is going to require a bit of patience. Green pear, jasmine, white pepper and crushed rocks linger on the driving, insistent finish.
