Lots of prunes, figs and black dates here with dried persimmon, saffron, walnut, old books and caramel. This is bone-dry and tangy with lots of walnut on the palate. Intense, balanced and long with a nutty finish. Drink now.

Gorgeously ornate nose with dried fruit, marzipan, toasted almond and mixed peel. Low acid gives this very full body but there is refreshment thanks to the strong aldehyde character. (RH)
Average age 15+ years. Light burnt umber colour. Walnuts and polished wood. Really nutty on the palate, so much so that it has a savoury, umami finish. Mouth-cleansing bitter-sour orange finish. (JH)
Pale yellow tawny. Very clean and fresh. Super pure. Nutty. Bring on the nuts and cheese! So pure. GV (JR)
