2016 Macauley Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

A deep purple-black colored barrel sample, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve opens with notions of black olives, fertile loam, bay leaves and pencil shavings over a core of crushed blackberries, cassis and warm plums. Full-bodied with a rock-solid frame of very firm, chewy tannins, it delivers bags of black fruit with plenty of herbal sparks lifting the finish.
