The 2020 Petite Syrah Turley Estate is a dense, powerful wine. There's good depth and textural intensity, if not quite the volume of most years. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Blue/purplish fruit, lavender, plum, licorice and tobacco lend savory nuances and complexity throughout. The 2020 needs a bit of air to help soften some of the contours.
