Note di degustazione
The 2013 Clos de la Roche has an airy and transparent nose that prioritizes the mineral-nature of the vineyard over the fruit at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, lithe in the mouth rather than fleshy, with very good weight, linear, but very harmonious and tender. This is a more understated Clos de la Roche in 2013, nevertheless a beautiful wine that I suspect might drink earlier than the other Grand Crus and yet will last just as long.

Six casks. Pretty majestic and savoury on the nose. Fine and fresh. Real zip. Linear and with massive etched line. None of these wines has the structure dominating the fruit though – amazing! (JR)
In 2013, Leroy’s Clos de la Roche sings from the barrel – not just a simple song, but a symphony. Enticing, complex aroma with layers of mixed berries and an array of exotic sweet spices. The tannins are silky and fine with fresh acidity that lifts everything to a higher octave. This isn’t a big, concentrated wine, but an intense, sinewy one that will age for several decades in your cellar. www.jeanniecholee.com
