The 2002 Merlot Las Amigas Vineyard is a great example of a wine that is significantly better from bottle. This sensational 300-case offering boasts full-throttle notes of toffee, mocha, black cherry liqueur, and a hint of smoky blackberries. Full-bodied and unctuously-textured, with superb fruit, wonderful density, and low acidity, this is a plump, fleshy Merlot to drink over the next 7-8 years.
