2014 Del Dotto Cabernet Sauvignon Single Cluster Series St. Helena Mountain

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve St. Helena Mountain comes from the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains, not far from one of my favorite first-growth vineyard sites, the Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard. This is killer wine, with La Mission Haut Brion-like notes of scorched earth, gravelly minerality, and beautiful blueberry and blackcurrant fruit building to a full-bodied crescendo, with stunning intensity and purity. This beauty is like a top Bordeaux on steroids. Drink it over the next 20-25 years.
