2015 Tenuta di Castellaro Nero Ossidiano

I am very happily impressed by this wine. The 2015 Nero Ossidiana is 70% Corinto Nero and 30% Nero d'Avola. The wine is fermented on the skins in stainless steel and is later aged in chestnut wood barrel. Some 14,000 bottles were produced. The wine is extremely bright and lively. It is teeming with life from deep inside its core. Dark fruit and cherry are followed by grilled herb and toasted nut. The wine shows medium persistence, but that electric energy leaves a lasting impression nonetheless. Bravo.
