The 2017 Solo MM17 displays a deeper golden hue. It evolves with an exotic mix of tropical florals and citrus tones, giving way to a refined blend of crushed nectarines, rosemary and dusty stone. Pure silk on the palate, it shows a pliancy brought about through maturation as ripe orchard fruits and melon tones wash across the palate, leaving a subtle raw almond tinge toward the close. The MM17 leaves the senses thoroughly cleansed, with a vivid resonance of yellow apple and pear under an air of chamomile. A glorious evolution has taken place here. The 2017 is drop-dead gorgeous.

The 2017 Vitovska Solo MM17 is darkly alluring and bassy with an intense exotic citrus and floral mix that keeps me at the glass. With each tilt, there’s something new: ginger, kiwi, herbal tea, cardamom and smoke. This mixes vibrant acids with ripe orchard fruits and vertical minerality to create an amazing display of tension, coming across as sapid yet also remarkably fresh. There’s a layer of liquid florals that coat the palate, as this tapers off lightly structured yet remarkably fresh and impossibly long, with a hint of hazelnut that lingers.
