Note di degustazione
The 2014 Clos Haut-Peyraguey has quite a feisty, Germanic nose with fine delineation and energy. Maybe slightly less botrytis than its peers. The palate is well-balanced, with an impressive sense of harmony. Elegant in style, this fans out nicely towards the finish with a touch of crème brûlée on the aftertaste. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Southwold 10-Year-On tasting.

Tasted blind. Mid gold and seductively honeyed. Almond-paste and bitter-orange notes. Thick, viscous, deep, intense and long and yet balanced. Sweet and crisp. Butterscotch on the finish. Very, very sweet. (JH)
95% Sémillon, 5% Sauvignon. Tasted blind. Just a tad sugary but not too sickly – good acid. (JR)
RS 145 g/l. Ch Magrez Fombrauge property . Tasted blind. A bit sweet and heavy and a tad simple but broad and rich for early drinking. Pear juice. (JR)
