Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2011-2021, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2010

Co-fermented with 3% Viognier, the 2006 Bonaccorsi Syrah Larner Vineyard is very straight and clean, yielding ripe black fruits, crème de cassis, and lavender aromas that are intermixed with ash, charcoal, and serious minerality on the nose. Medium bodied with good acidity, solid concentration, and an elegant, streamlined texture, this stays firm and structured on the finish, making me think this could use additional cellar time. Very well done.

Punteggio 92/100 · Josh Raynolds, Nov 2009

Full ruby color. Explosive aromas of blackberry, mulberry, smoked meat and dark chocolate. Deep, palate-staining dark berry flavors are energized by a note of cracked pepper and pick up floral character with aeration. The finish repeats the dark berry and smoke notes and clings with impressive tenacity. This is complex enough to enjoy right now.

Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2009-2017, Robert Parker, Aug 2009

The star of this trio, the 2006 Syrah Larner Vineyard, is from a superb vineyard site that, seemingly regardless of the producer, tends to provide floral, blueberry, blackberry, and crushed rock characteristics. This big, dense, blue/purple-colored 2006 offers a stunning nose of acacia flowers, blueberries, and black raspberries, a full-bodied mouthfeel, sweet, silky tannins, and a layered, multidimensional personality. It should drink well for 7-8+ years. Tel. (310) 994-3207
